World’s First Surf Coaster Rides Wave of Growth at SeaWorld’s Parks
From first-time explorers to long-time fans, anyone who passes through the gates of SeaWorld’s family of parks this year will discover exciting new adventures to experience. And nowhere will these enhancements be more crystal-clear from the moment of arrival than at SeaWorld Orlando, where a bold new ocean-inspired attraction has washed ashore to greet guests.
The all-new Pipeline is a first-of-its-kind surf coaster unlike anything else in the world. With an innovative harness system and seating style, it gives riders unparalleled freedom of movement, letting them feel the awesome power of the ocean as though they really are surfing the waves. This is sure to be a hit among both coaster enthusiasts and curious park goers.
SeaWorld was already the “Coaster Capital of Orlando,” boasting more roller coasters than any other single theme park in the city. By bringing Pipeline on board now—on the heels of the 2022 addition of Ice Breaker—the park continues to take its thrill collection to new levels. Together with fascinating new animal presentations and events, there are surprises to spare.
Experiences Evolve at Other Florida Parks
Just across the street from SeaWorld is Aquatica Orlando, voted America’s Best Outdoor Waterpark by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice awards. Continuing to reinvent itself, the recent additions of Riptide Race and Reef Plunge have augmented what is now the largest collection of water slides in Orlando, but that was only the beginning.
More seating and shaded areas have been added to enhance guest comfort and relaxation, as well as new and refreshed food and drink outlets. And this year, little ones will have an all-new place to splash and play when Turi’s Kid Cove opens with tipping buckets, spraying jets, and more.
The thrills keep multiplying down the road at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay too. Last year’s addition of the record-breaking, award-winning Iron Gwazi was a big hit with coaster lovers, and the park has followed up that epic rollout by aiming even higher in 2023.
Serengeti Flyer is the tallest and fastest ride of its kind in the world, reaching speeds of 68 miles per hour and heights of 135 feet. Riders willing to brave this “screaming swing” will experience multiple negative-G moments as they soar into the air above the expansive 65-acre Serengeti Plain and its herds of exotic animals.
A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Orlando
Not far from the fast-paced thrill rides, spectacular shows, and special events at other parks in the SeaWorld family, Discovery Cove continues to outdo itself with serene luxury and one-of-a-kind experiences. Less of a theme park and more of an all-inclusive day resort, each admission includes special experiences and exceptional amenities, such as all-day food and beverages (including beer and wine for guests over 21 years old), snacks, wetsuits, towels, swim gear and more. Discovery Cove’s is a limited-capacity tropical oasis that feels worlds apart from other Orlando attractions.
Recent additions include the Flamingo Mingle (an opportunity to get up close and learn more about those colorful birds) and inviting new places to eat and drink. But many lasting memories of Discovery Cove still center on its most iconic activities, including swimming with dolphins, hand-feeding exotic birds in the aviary, and snorkeling with thousands of fish and rays.
New Adventures Around Every Corner
From thrilling new attractions and interactive animal presentations to themed events hitting the calendar throughout the year, SeaWorld’s family of parks continues to bring fresh fun to the table for guests of all ages. Now is a perfect time for visitors to discover new adventures, rediscover old favorites, and enjoy unforgettable moments together.
